It's Friday, August 5th, so it's nice to think about what you will say when asked "What are you going to do this weekend?". In English, when you say things about the past, you should use the simple past tense in your sentence.  But a lot of students of mine, especially beginners, are fond of saying 'go' when they should have said 'went'. A series of interesting and funny  videos from VisualNews is, "The History Of English in 10 Minutes".  I think that learning a bit about the history of the English language,  is good for English language learners(ELLs) for obvious reasons. In this way students can have a better understanding of the English  language.
